Now that the weather actually feels like fall many of us are in the mood for pumpkin-spiced anything, cider donuts, apple cider and something fun to do outdoors. Visiting a local farm for apple and pumpkin picking can tick all of those boxes. Here are a few options.
Wightman’s Farms This popular spot offers hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkin and apple picking plus a farm store. Since it is so popular, it can get very crowded on the weekends. The pumpkin slingshot activity ($2 for 3 shots) is something you won’t find at other pumpkin farms!
Melick’s Town Farm For a slightly more low-key experience, consider a visit to one of Melick’s Town Farm locations. Melick’s in Oldwick is our favorite as it also offers a playground and is a short distance from Route 78. Also offering wagon rides, pick your own, a cider press and more.
Wyoming Church If you are looking for the most low-key, easy option to enjoy the season, Wyoming Church has a pumpkin patch set up every day through Oct 31st. Pumpkins are spread out all over the front lawn. Show up and pick your own.
