Easy Home Project – Window Films

Over 10 years ago, we did a big renovation on our Maplewood home and added a spacious walk in closet for my husband and me. Because nobody except him and me use the closet, “decorating” it was very low on my list of priorities.
But recently, after 10 years of the Home Depot paper shades, I recently decided enough was enough!
I decided to try window films which would provide privacy and keep natural light coming in. Best of all, they are inexpensive and easy to install. I used Rabbit Goo Window films and ordered one roll of a striped film. You can also find them at Home Depot & Wayfair.
The film was pretty simple to install – you clean the glass thoroughly and then follow the easy instructions. No special tools other than an exacto knife. It took me less than 30 minutes to do the lower half of the window.
I am very pleased with how the window treatment turned out. Now the closet’s windows let in plenty of natural light but we still have privacy. I’ll be looking for more windows on which use the window film!
