An adorable 3 bedroom 1 bath home in the Hilton neighborhood of Maplewood. With multiple offers, this home sold for considerably more than our Sellers had paid just and few months prior and over the asking price. This sale was bittersweet for us.
The Bitter:
We had just helped our Sellers purchase this home the previous February, just before the Pandemic. They were unfortunately in an industry that shut down completely. Without secure jobs they felt it best to put their new home back on the market rather than deplete their savings even though they loved the house and the town.
The Sweet:
They had done some improvements and had a good sense of style. People were paying a “pandemic premium”. We positioned it in a way that allowed them to walk away without losing any money. In fact they made a little.
Also sweet, they are living in a new home which they love.
