Spring Market 2026 is here!

Believe it or not, we are already at the start of the 2026 Spring Market—even though it’s only January. Buyers are actively in the marketplace right now, driven by pent-up demand from December’s lack of inventory and the slow but steady easing of mortgage rates.

While inventory remains extremely low, buyer demand is high, which means well-priced homes are attracting significant attention and multiple offers. We saw this firsthand just last week when our buyers successfully won a Maplewood home that required renovations—despite competing against 10 offers. In a more inventory-rich market, a property needing work may not have generated the same level of interest. But right now, limited supply combined with motivated buyers is creating strong opportunities for sellers.

This is why the earlier months of the new year can be an ideal time to list. As we move into February, inventory should increase modestly, keeping the market competitive and active. By March and April, we expect more homes to come online, giving buyers additional choices and providing some welcome balance—though activity is expected to remain strong.

In short, the next few months are shaping up to be very busy.
